Village Toastmasters History

In April 1984, three Toastmasters with over 25 years of collective experience, decided to start a new Toastmaster's club for businesspeople in the La Jolla area.

The first meeting was held at La Jolla Village Inn (now the Radisson) in La Jolla, California on May 17, 1984, and came the name "Village" Toastmasters Club #2340.
